On coming home

I am back. It feels completely surreal that not 24 hours ago I was still in the U.S. Since the moment I stepped off the plane, it felt like I never left. Lingering in the back of my mind is the feeling that occupied most of my emotional register yesterday - I was sad to leave. But right now I'm too happy to be back to think much about that. I'm also feeling the 'lag - though probably this is more due to the fact that I got a grand total of two hours sleep last night, than because I've skipped timezones - my eyes are shutting on me as I type.
The journey back was relatively uneventful. My first day here, however, has been eventful as few, as I've had both my nephews to keep me running about like a squirrel on speed. There are no (visible) squirrels here. Except on the pictures I took in the U.S. Which I have now shown to my family. Now, sleep. Will be back for more - later (also, this is my final NaBlo post, so if I disappear from the radar for a few days, don't be alarmed - it's merely the relief of not being committed kicking in).
Zzzzzzzz

Oh, and Happy Halloween to all those celebrating (we've had two trick-or-treaters here this year. It's a new record!). If you haven't already, now's the time to check out the Halloween feature on http://www.the-burrow.org/

And Happy Birthday, Mari.
All the best with NaNoWriMo. You are a brave woman to attempt it. Either that, or insane like our dear friend the Tart!

Thanks all :) In these online ages it is easy to feel loved - everyone gets notified of your birthday ;) Had a blast, and the jetlag isn't too bad. NaNo is also going fairly well, though there is plenty of time to mess it up yet ;)
