On flying food?

Whenever I've written a post I dutifully type in labels that will appear at the bottom. I try to use the same labels semi-often, since I find that makes for a more interesting label cloud (at the veryvery bottom of the blog, if you haven't seen it), and it is very important to have these visual elements in check. Especially when they appear so far down on your blog that you're not sure whether anyone ever sees them.

Anyway. One thing that often confuse me is the label called "flying food?". I cannot count how many times I've asked myself the question "when did I write about flying food?" and not being able to answer. Until I remember that I haven't written about flying food, but I've written about "flying" and "food?" (yes, the question mark is intentional) separately. They only look like they go together. So does "weather Will Smith", "fever fish", "pasta peace penguins" and "beer blog recycle station". I probably ought to write posts for all of these labels, as several of them sound quite entertaining...

In the meantime I figured "flying food" required some attention. I googled it, and a fairly awesome video came up. I tried to embed it, but it doesn't seem to work properly. If not, you can click on the YouTube (but unembedable) link below the frame.

Also - via the above video I came across one with a rather spectacular stop motion video. It's well done, but I feel a little bad about all the wasted food. Hopefully they had a lot of dogs that happily would clean up afterwards...

So there. "Flying food" at last. Though the cloud still will show "flying" and "food?" as two separate labels - I only need to remember it!

I've never really understood the idea of giving labels to blog posts etc. But then I hate labels. :D

The first video was pretty dramatic.

I'm on a diet, so any reference to food is welcome, flying or otherwise. :0)

Eh - that first video isn't at all the one I intended to post... The one with the link doesn't have a fish in it (though I suppose as far as "flying" and "food" goes, this one has its merits too)

Anyway...

Joe & Yvonne - I think the labels help your blog pop up in Google searches, which I actually think is very silly, because the google searches that lead to my blog usually have absolutely nothing with what I write about to do, so I have no idea why they lead to me. (About 80% of my "random" visitors come from people who search for "cats", which is most certainly NOT a big topic on this blog...)

I still like to use the labels, though, since I feel it creates a sort of continuity in my otherwise random mess. If you are looking only for posts about "cats", at least there is a label to guide you.

Carole - I hope your diet isn't a "food fight", like the one in the second video. Good luck!

Oh Mari, you always come up with something Mari-ish (which makes sense, and I would be worried if you came up with something Tara-ish, or Anyone else-ish).

I'd like to try and set up labels on my blog. Not very techno savvy - I can get a bit lost in that design box!

Too much fun! Thanks for posting!

I label all my posts, but it has nothing to do with google searches (since I don't have that option checked on my blog) and everything to do with my being a tad OCD (only a tad??).

Flying food. Hmmmm. I do like to eat at The Flying Burger and I've heard The Flying Fish and The Flying Saucer are both good places, too.

That was quite the food fight. Was more like a food war. haha!

I dutifully label too, but more to keep things organized than anything else - though I'm not even sure that's working!

Fun post!

I kind of loving "flying food?" as its own label. So full of promise and mystery...

Love the second video! That was nuts!
