I've seen this concept around on several blogs (from the top of my head I remember Georgina Dollface and K A B L O O E Y participating), and I've always quite liked it. Because of my ridiculous commitment to NaBloWriMo now seems like as good a time as any to join in. This first Wordless Wednesday won't be entirely wordless (that seems to be the case for many of the ones I've seen around the block as well), since I felt the need to explain a little, but from now on it is my goal to keep my Wednesdays Wordless. So there.
(I just realized why Wordless Wednesday is so hard to keep wordless. It makes you feel like you need a *really* spectacular picture... Here I thought I could just upload any old snapshot and hope it would do. Oh, well, in order to lower the expectations I will start light....)

Now that is a mighty fine photograph, Mari.
But why does the suggested links show a Tart and a tartier Tartless? Surely neither was at a loss for words.
I like the bold star-shaped leaf right in the center. Beautiful picture.
Wednesday is a good day to shut up. I'll start now.
(Love the picture. Whoops! OK, I'll start NOW).
Nice photo!
And you were almost speechless.
So pretty! I've got to get out and take some photos before our leaves all drop!
Wonderful picture, it's surprising what good photo's one ca take in the fall.
Take care.
Yvonne.
I love the photo. :)
Pretty :)
Hmm...
(Not a word) :)

incredible photo!
So wordless Wednesday is just a picture and no words? Cool.

Great photo! The leaf looks like it is illuminated from within, like those hanging star-shaped lamps.
I'm like you, sometimes WW is really hard to do without words. But it does help fill a day in the blogging week. It also encourages me to keep my camera handy so that I'm ready to take that prize winning photo **laughs at self**. Even Funny Man is now familiar with WW and he'll see something and say, "You should take a picture of that for WW." - G
Wordless? Yeh, yeh, yeh.
Nice photo.
All the best, Boonie
"Wordless Wednesday is so hard to keep wordless" that made me laugh.
Fall is the time for beautiful colors. Nice picture >:)
Cold As Heaven
I'm also not staying wordless - how can I with all these lovely comments? Thanks everyone, you're too kind :) And Georgina, I like how WW becomes addictive.
I have trouble coming up with words (and most of my blog entries are quite short) so maybe I should start doing this.
Your photo is absolutely beautiful!
What a great autumn picture. Here, the leaves have not only turned but are falling. I wish autumn lasted longer. The many colours just seem to bring an inner peace, know what I mean?
Kelly - it was much harder than I thought, because you really feel obliged to pick a good picture (I'm still not too happy with the one I picked, because even though I like it, it doesn't "say" anything). But perhaps you are better than me at speaking through pictures :)
Nonamedufus - yeah, the leaves are falling here too. The pic above was actually taken in Japan, sometime during fall, so it doesn't really reflect how far our trees have come, but it does reflect what I want autumn to be like. If only it also reflected what autumn currently is like... (stresstresstress)
So yes - I know what you mean - coloured leaves = inner peace (wish I had some!)
