I must keep my eye out for this drink. I could understand cocktails having no L if it were Christmas, but I've never before seen it with no K. Is this a cocktail up?
"The Coctails were a Chicago music quartet, which formed while its members were attending the Kansas City Art Institute. The band was active from about 1988 to 1995 (with reunions in 2000 as the very last band to play on stage at Lounge Ax before the famous Chicago club closed its doors; December 2004; January 2005 for the release of their Popcorn Box CD collection of rarities; and July 2005 for a tour of Japan). Members Archer Prewitt, Mark Greenberg, John Upchurch, and Barry Phipps were largely self-taught musicians who experimented with various instruments and played in a manner they described as the Chinese fire drill method, in which they rotated instruments during live sets. For example, though Phipps often played bass, he was as likely to play guitar, drums, bass, saxophone, or theremin.
Coctail is also a oh-so-common typo made by sleep-deprived grad students who have not enjoyed a sufficient amount of cocktails and/or caffeine recently."
Cruella, At the risk of appearing ignorant what’s the c-word? I expect that you’ll think that I’m a really dopey c-c-c-c-c-character for asking. Re Coctails, the group: Who’d want to listen to a band who can’t even spell? Enjoy your cocktails and caffeine.
Nicole - hehe, I don't think they all come with eyeballs ;)
Boonie - if you're not familiar with the c-word, I won't be responsible for corrupting you... Let's just say it rhymes with "runt"... Re: The Coctails - no one, from the little I have heard of them since I discovered them in the wee hours of this morning....
That looks like the PERFECT Halloween cocktail. I wish I'd had time to throw a party this year. I've gathered so many random cool ideas - this being one of them!

Coctail without the k, is that because you didn't want to write the C-word >:)))
Cold As Heaven
CAH - see above comment... I may be a prude, but even in my opinion that isn't the "c-word" (the female equivalent is)...
ewww! Glad I don't drink ;p

Punt? Hunt? Shunt? Cavalier? Nope. You've got me on that one I'm afraid.
Re The Group Coctails: Touché! Well done!
Have a nice day, Boonie
Barry Phipps sounds like a talented man. Can't understand why he eschewed the K, though. That can't have helped their career.
Oh Thank you. I know it's early but I need a drink :)
Jules @ Trying To Get Over The Rainbow
Boonie - tee hee - ignorance is bliss ;)
Mark - taking the comments of this post in account, I'd say it probably earned him a certain amount of attention...
Jules - don't we all... I'll take mine sans eyeball, though...
Ah, so cute. Fun, fun, fun.

You know, that's what I always think about when i see an olive in a drink...
Rather disturbing being watched by an eyeball as you drink your highball. Oops I mean martini!
I've gotta check that group out. They sound amazing.
Not a group I'm familiar with and... not a coctail (or cocktail)I'd want to try. Kinda like that worm in the tequila! Ewww!
stirred not shaken...
